Yule Ramblings #24: The Folk-y One

This one is another Kelsie ornament.

It is artisan-made from Nepal. We purchased it in Santa's Village in Pittsburgh's Market Square (right before we had some of the best burgers in our life.)
This little ornament seemed to be waving at us from a basket of its brothers and sisters... we couldn't go home without it.
Isn't it interesting what you buy and why you buy it?
Jung makes notes of these synchronicities in life. He said that they are hardly to be dismissed as random.
In fact, overlooking this fact is the sign of an ignorant or lazy mind.
OK. ...He never said that, per se. I did. For punch value ;)
But seriously, did you ever stop to think about why you were stopping and thinking about or considering or giving any sort of attention to something so random and seemingly unrelated to what you assumed you were currently experiencing?
These are signs.
Now I'm not suggesting you need to obtain everything that catches your attention. You don't need to own the signs. But you should acknowledge them.
And then patterns start to emerge.
Oh, Kelsie Jean. It was so nice to see you in that village that one evening almost 365 days ago. Glad we could bring you in from the cold. Hope you like the view at the top of our Christmas tree. (It's interesting how you can tell an ornament's perceived value and worth based upon the height the owner chooses to place it upon his/her holiday tree, but I digress...) A full-180 degree views of the studio. An excellent vantage point to peer upon the seasonal lights adorning homes outside. High upon the evergreen apex. On one of the sturdiest branches. Safe from the sniffs and curious exploration of Luna.
Hang out with us a little while longer, won't you? We do enjoy your company.
